Job Responsibilities
As the Sales Manager, you will play a key role in growing Edmund Optics’ customer base and increasing regional sales. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Identify new business opportunities across Central Europe.
- Build long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable optical solutions.
- Develop strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Work closely with engineering, marketing, and technical support teams.
- Negotiate commercial contracts and pricing agreements.
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and market analysis.
- Represent Edmund Optics at industry exhibitions, conferences, and customer meetings.
- Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
Required Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants should have:
- A degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- At least three years of experience in technical sales, business development, or key account management.
- Knowledge of optical components, phonics technology, or industrial manufacturing solutions.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in both German and English.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory when required.
